The Davis Building was built in 1926 and originally known as the Republic National Bank. It served for fifty years as office space. The building was occuped by four mayors of Dallas and was the birthplace of Texas Instruments before its near abandonment in the 1970’s. The 20-story tower successfully converted to residential lofts in early 2000’s.
Nearly two decades later, restoration of the landmark building picked up again with an eye on theĀ Davis Building‘s aging exterior. Building Blocks was brought in as part of the $45 million renovation. We manufactured, furnished, and installed glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) panels to replace the original masonry facade, including the iconic cupola.
